Sylvia  is a multi-qualified Therapist with some 35+ years of experience as a Mental Health Clinician.  She has worked with individuals, couples, and groups of people suffering from a wide variety of personal, sexual, and emotional relationships and work and life problems causing mental anxiety depression, and distress.

Sylvia has spent thousands of hours with her clients both individually and in group sessions designing and delivering therapy in groups for stress management, mindfulness meditation hypnotherapy, and NLP techniques dedicated to addressing the various stages and levels of depression that people experience which range from feeling a bit low and depleted in energy at one end of the spectrum all the way down to, at its worst, feeling suicidal.

Sylvia is a qualified and Professional Registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, Psychodynamic Counsellor, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Hypnotherapist, Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and a qualified Trainer, and has a master’s degree in Mental Health.

Sylvia established her Professional practice in 1988 and worked with G.P.’s, Consultant Psychiatrists, and Professors in Psychiatry and gynaecology at The prestigious Guy’s Hospital, and St. Mary’s Hospital as a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist and a Pain Counsellor and has worked at three different Priory Hospital Locations as a mental Health Psychotherapist and Group Facilitator.

Sylvia has worked with many blue chip companies including British Airways, The Bank of England, The Stock Exchange, NatWest Bank, B.P., and Tesco designing and delivering well-being programmes to Occupational Health Advisers and Managers in the workplace for troubled employees, and training “How to use Counselling Skills in The Workplace.”

In addition to this, she has also worked with the Metropolitan Police designing and delivering training programmes for their Trauma Support Programmes working alongside Selected Firearms officers and Child Protection Officers and has counselled Victims, Survivors and first responders in any high profile disasters.  Sylvia has also designed and delivered the first re-entry into operational duties for Firearms Officers and a Peer Support Programme for the Metropolitan Police.

Sylvia is a highly experienced presenter, TEDx Speaker and experienced Broadcaster.  She has also been a regular guest on many TV and radio programmes and hosted her own Radio Phone in for Personal, Sexual, Emotional and Work Problems, 5 nights a week on LBC Radio.

Prior to Covid 19 Sylvia also had her own thriving Therapy practice in the prestigious Harley Street but has since adjusted her practice to reach out online to as many people as possible that need support during his very challenging period.

Sylvia has worked on many media and charity helplines like Children in Need, The Royal Jubilee Trust and The Samaritans and was also the London Regional Representative for The Samaritan’s outreach work in their 16 London Branches.

Having had ‘lived in’ experiences of mental health problems of depression, suicide ideation and anxiety in her late teens, she has dedicated her adult life to utilise those experiences through professional mental health training and her natural skills of empathic understanding, kindness and compassion to help other people who are suffering and find it difficult to get the help and support they need.
