Coming from a background in nursing and complementary healthcare Catherine brings a wealth of experience, empathy and understanding to her work as a psychotherapist and counsellor with individuals and couples. She provides a warm, welcoming, confidential and safe space for you to explore your issues whether they arise out of health concerns, such as receiving a new diagnosis or living with chronic ill-health, or wellbeing concerns such as fertility and menopause. Other specialist areas are bereavement and loss, relationships (including couples counselling), and abuse and trauma.
Having trained as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, Catherine offers both short and long-term therapy. Her main approach is person-centred, although she also works with other therapeutic approaches if the client wishes; Gestalt and body-process, psychodynamic, solution-focused, CBT, creative ways of working and Mindfulness.
Catherine is a member of the following organisations: National Institute of Medical Herbalists, Alliance of Registered Homeopaths, Homeopathic Medical Association, British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society.
